Fathi Kemicha is a member of the Bars of Paris and Tunisia, and the founder of Kemicha Legal Consulting K.L.C., a law firm based in Tunisia but acting at the regional and international levels.
Dr Kemicha has a diploma in International Relations from the Institute of Political Studies – Paris, and a PhD in International Law (with distinction) from the University of Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at Yale Law School.
Dr Kemicha was until recently a member of the United Nations International Law Commission (ILC) and the Chair of the World Bank Group Sanctions Board (which handles anti-corruption debarments).
Dr Kemicha is a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and has served as Vice-Chairman of the Commission on Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as well as a Vice President of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Dr Kemicha was made a Knight of the French Legion of Honor by President Jacques Chirac, and was awarded the Order of Bahrain (First Class) by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
